transparent Polycarbonate Domes. Dinner with a View in Frameless Domes
Transparent Polycarbonate Domes are trending in 2019.
Toronto is no stranger to one-brand pop-ups. From Becel’s truly vegetable restaurant to Delissio’s fashion site for making your own pizza, brands have increasingly used attractive temporary spaces to get their messages across.
The last special restaurant didn’t really come from a food brand – but Amex still promoted its new Platinum Card product through a dinner with views. In fact, the restaurant was called that: Dinner with a view.

Dinner with a View
On February 13, Top Chef Canada award winner Chef René Rodríguez organized an emerging event with model and influential Coco Rocha as host. The venue for the one night dinner under the stars was a group of transparent Polycarbonate Domes set up at The Bentway, a public space beneath Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway.
Dinner With a View is in line with the target audience of the Platinum Card, which Amex identifies as Canadians passionate about food, travel, entertainment and “exclusive experiences.
A multi-channel campaign launches the card with connected social, digital and TV ads, as well as more than 45 influential people telling stories about living the “Platinum Life”.
Located beneath the Gardiner Expressway at The Bentway in downtown Toronto, the transparent polycarbonate domes, Dinner With A View boasts a collection of warm transparent domes, each with a small ecosystem that offers a unique and super cozy dining experience.
All small pods contain a board game for a six, complete with blankets, pillows and two heaters to combat the vortex of the outdoors.
Each has a different aesthetic, including cozy carpets and houseplants (just to show how warm the interior is).
This experience is not only a country of visual wonders, it is also delicious.
With dishes created by renowned chefs, there’s no shortage of good meals with matching cocktails.

Dinner With a View will return to Toronto for a month beginning March 28 and is scheduled to appear in Montreal for a month beginning April 16. Reservations are available online for three sessions each day, three days a week.
